Adding Items to CautionHQ
Items are at the core of CautionHQ. They represent anything with an expiration date that you need to track.
Supported Item Types
CautionHQ supports tracking various types of items:
- Domains - Track domain registration renewals
- SSL Certificates - Never let a certificate expire again
- Subscriptions - SaaS tools, services, and recurring payments
- Licenses - Software licenses and agreements
- Credentials - API keys and access tokens that need rotation
- Payment Methods - Credit cards and payment methods on file
Required Information
When adding an item, you'll need to provide:
- Name - A descriptive name for the item
- Type - Select from the supported item types
- Expiration Date - When this item expires or needs renewal
- Criticality - How critical is this item (Low, Medium, High, Critical)
Optional Fields
You can also add:
- Owner - Who is responsible for this item
- Notes - Additional context or renewal instructions
- Tags - Custom labels for organization
- Vendor - The service provider or registrar
